How Jamaicans can use Dating Websites and Apps to find a Lover

Dating using Online Dating apps seems to be on the rise.

So say the latest research from Pew Research (Murnane, 2016, March 2) and aptly demonstrated in the graphic below.

The graph compares survey data gathered by Pew in June and July of 2015 with data Pew gathered from a similar survey conducted in 2013. Clearly, online dating is now on the rise as people are longing for that connecting that smartphone addiction (Deer, 2015, June 13) and social media cannot supply.

In fact, research by Kaspersky Lab (Deer, 2015, August 22) in their Smartphone Dependency Study suggests that smartphones are not only killing human reasoning but also our sex lives as well.

So it’s great to see that even though this might be true for India people in Kaspersky Lab’s study, at least the rise in dating apps usage indicates that people are putting their Smartphone addiction to good use and are actively searching for a lover.

There are a lot of dating apps and websites out there; the top six (6) based on feedback from friends who have used them are as listed below:

According to my sources, the best ones are the paid ones as you pay for what you get when it comes to love. It’s also a sure sign that your mate is making enough to have a Credit Card or at least a Prepaid Scotia Visa Debit card and is serious in their search for love.

But very few of them cater to Jamaicans. This video on Dating Apps list some of the best ones.

So take your most professional photograph, create a profile and put yourself back on the market.
