How Jamaicans can find work in UK and Dubai

Aside from working and settling in Canada (Deer, 2017, July 15), (Deer, 2017, July 23), Jamaicans can also find work in the United Kingdom and the Middle East, particularly Dubai in the UAE (United Arab Emirates).

There is a strong demand for Teachers in Britain (Deer, 2016, March 13) with salaries as high as JA$5 million per year to teach various subjects, with housing and 1 months advanced salary for qualified applicants, even as British teachers leave to seek work abroad in places such as Dubai in the UAE (United Arab Emirates) (McInerney, 2016, 26 February).

Dubai is especially on the hunt for construction workers and even English teachers (Richardson, 2016, 26 February), as they are switching away from an oil based industry to a service based industry, requiring English and French (Deer, 2016, September 10) to appeal to westerners.

Ok, so the teacher brain drain in Britain means work for Jamaicans. But what about the Middle East, particularly Dubai in the UAE (United Arab Emirates)? Can Jamaicans get some of those lucrative construction and Teaching job directly?

How Kingston Call Center is creating the Jamaican Tele-commuting Workplace

English is the primary language of Jamaica. Use in schools (Deer, 2016, June 1), most call centers recruit agents who speak English accurately, clearly and without an accent. Kingston Call Centre is no exception to this rule, with offices located in Kingston and in rural Jamaica, at Bog Walk in the parish of St. Catherine.

Located some 30 miles west of Kingston, the company is interested in:

  • Inbound
  • Outbound
  • Voice
  • Non-voice campaigns

As a part of their Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) section, we also do:

  • Autocad drafting
  • Data Entry

But what is most fascinating is that the majority of their agents are not located in a single building – they are scattered across Jamaica in different locations.

Kingston Call Centre – Telecommuting work for CSA

The company presently utilizes a cloud based predictive dialer for inbound and outbound call centre campaigns along with suitable cloud base Customer Relations Management (CRM) systems. Agents work in office based environments where the outsourced office function requires an office equipped with necessary office equipment.

However, most agents are encouraged to work from home provided they have the following:

  • Required reliable computer
  • Broadband internet connection
  • Quiet office-like environment at home or place of their choosing

Effectively this makes Kingston Call Centre a Tele-Commuting workplace (Deer, 2011, May 14) with workers having the option to work at their call centers or work at home.

So what kinds of BPO campaigns can Kingston Call Centre provide?

Kingston Call Centre – Non-Voice BPO work and Autocad drawings and alterations

Kingston Call Centre usually absorbs the cost of campaign telephone calls using their VOIP dialing facility, including the costs associated with the provision of Toll Free Numbers (TFN). Kingston Call Centre is interested in outsourcing both Voice and Non-Voice campaigns.

For Non-Voice campaigns they can provide:

  • Excellent document conversion
  • Spell checking
  • Document reformatting
  • Data entry
  • Form filling

Kingston Call Centre also does drawings and alterations work using Autocad as follows:

  • Electrical
  • Architectural
  • Telecommunication

For Voice Campaigns, agents have experience with outbound USA/EST appointment setting and inbound customer service campaigns. Our agents are experienced and trained as call centre workers for both office and home operation. Each campaign has different requirements and Labour rates per seat per hour are negotiable.

So what are you waiting for? Call Kingston Call Centre and let us handle all of your Inbound and Outbound Voice and non-Voice BPO Campaigns. Big or small, Kingston Call Centre does it all

Kadavy Campbell’s Fundraising Fish Fry for Dejah Samuels’ US$23000 Brain Surgery

People, its fish fry time!

This time it’s for a worthy cause; Dejah “Janelle” Samuels needs your help to fund the removal of a brain tumor, which she was diagnosed by the UWI Hospital on May 11, 2017 as reported in my previous article How to assist Kadavy Campbell raise US$23000 for Dejah Samuels in UWI Mona Hospital.

The Fundraising Fish Fry, which will be held at 35 Harcourt Road, Kingston 5 on Friday August 4th 2017, is to help Kadavy Campbell cousin Dejah “Janelle” Samuels raise US$23000 or JA$3 million dollars, including air ambulance, to do a life-saving surgery to remove a brain tumour.

The menu is set and a $1300 ticket will get you the following mouth-watering treats such as:

  1. Fry Fish
  2. Steam Fish
  3. Roast Fish
  4. Jerk Fish

You can place you order by calling 1(876)533-9021 and choose your side-dish along with your order, be it Raw Vegetables, Pasta, and Steam or Fry Bammy.

All proceeds in aid of helping 17-y-o Dejah Samuels, who is a student of Pentab High School (Kingston Jamaica) in 10th grade.

She was unable to do her end of term exams and CXC subjects, Mathematics & Information Technology which are necessary for her way to fulfill her dream of becoming a Nurse.

A GofundMe account has been set up to assist her raising the funds to do the Gamma Knife treatment, which is preferable to whole brain radiation therapy, as based on the location of the tumor, it has been declared inoperable. The Gamma Knife surgery, which is viable in Florida, would improve her chances of survival.

She recently did a biopsy and is now currently recovering from the procedure. The tissue sample collected will then be analyzed to determine the best course of action to save this future nurse from a slow and agonizing death.

Kadavy Campbell’s Fundraising Fish Fry event and other planned activities require your support. You can donate via the GoFundMe account as well as via Bill Express as follows:
